Corns & Calluses

Hardened patches of skin caused by pressure or friction. We provide gentle removal and advice on preventing their return through better footwear or padding.

Ingrown Toenails

When the side of a nail grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain and potential infection. We offer both conservative treatments and minor surgery options. Call on 01305 534533 to discuss or book a new patient appointment online.

Plantar Fasciitis

Sharp heel pain often felt first thing in the morning. Our specialist assessments help identify the cause and provide targeted relief through orthoses and stretching plans.

Verrucae

What is Falknor's Needling?

Verrucae are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is particularly good at hiding from the immune system — which is why they can persist for months or even years despite treatment.

Falknor's Needling tackles this differently. Rather than attacking the surface of the verruca with acid or freezing, the needle punctures the verruca many times, exposing the viral particles to the fatty tissue beneath the skin, where the body is rich in immune regulators. This allows the immune system to recognise and destroy the virus.

Because the immune response is often systemic, treating just one verruca can lead to the spontaneous resolution of multiple lesions at the same time.

The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and is well tolerated. Most people report only minor soreness for two to three days afterwards.

Around 75% of patients require only one treatment. A second session may occasionally be needed, but success rates remain high.
